RAKwireless IP65 Outdoor Gateway for LoRaWAN | RAK7240V2/RAK7240CV2 | WisGate Edge Prime

WisGate Edge Prime Version 2 (RAK7240V2/RAK7240CV2) is RAK’s newest outdoor gateway for LoRaWAN.

It is based on the latest SX1303 LoRa core, providing better sensitivity and improved performance. The gateway is available in 8 or 16-channel versions to help you utilize the maximum of the available LoRaWAN channels in your region.

The gateway supports multi-backhaul with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Cellular connectivity.

There are two options regarding the supported power supply: One supports only PoE power, and the other is equipped with a dedicated port for different power options. It supports DC power input (9~24VDC) and our Battery Plus. When used with RAK Battery Plus and Solar kit the information about the battery use and capacity, charging states, and performance information is available in the WisGateOS2 WebUI and in WisDM. You can add the RAK Battery Plus and solar kit from the Check to Include option.

The model with the DC and Battery Plus support is designed to be powered with 9~24V DC via the dedicated power port. The use of solar chargers is prohibited, as they may provide overvoltage and cause damage to the device. We strongly advise against using such chargers with this product, and any damage caused by using them will void the warranty.

The device comes with the newest WisGateOS 2 which provides all the existing features but adds a new design, many options, and tooltips. It comes with extension add-ons – an option to add and manage additional features catering to your needs.

The gateway can be managed remotely via the WisDM platform.

The RAK7240V2/RAK7240CV2 is suited for any use case scenario, be it rapid deployment or customization regarding UI and functionality. 

The flat surface of the full metal enclosure allows your logo to be added for brand customization and recognition.

Supported LoRaWAN Network Servers: Chirp Stack v3/v4, TTN/TTS, AWS IoT Core for LoRaWAN, AWS IoT core integration, Actility LNS with Basics Station (8-channel only).

Note: The cellular option is only available for the 8-channel LoRaWAN gateway.
